Seoul
A day of sightseeing in Seoul can take you from palace neighborhoods and busy markets to shopping streets and theme parks. Knowing where to pause for prayer can make that itinerary easier to plan.
An Instagram guide shared by Elwina’s Chingu and Unlock Korea on February 3, 2026 highlights ten prayer spaces across the city. The list includes a mosque, visitor facilities, and rooms within restaurants or other businesses—not ten standalone mosques.
The locations and lot-number addresses below follow that guide. Opening hours, access conditions, and room arrangements may change, so contact each venue before making a special trip. For rooms inside restaurants or attractions, ask staff about access rather than assuming they are freely accessible public facilities.
1. Seoul Central Mosque — Hannam-dong
The guide begins with Seoul Central Mosque, identified as Korea Islam Seoul Jungang Seongwon. It provides a mosque option for travelers planning time in the Hannam-dong area.
Address: 732-21 Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
2. IFTAR — Near Gyeongbokgung
For the Gyeongbokgung area, the featured prayer room is at IFTAR in Pirun-dong. The slide uses the palace as a neighborhood reference; it does not identify a prayer room inside Gyeongbokgung Palace itself.
Address: 185 Pirun-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
3. Kampungku — Myeongdong
Kampungku is the Myeongdong stop in the guide. The photographs pair its restaurant entrance with a prayer space, making it a location to check when planning a shopping day in this part of the city. Visit Seoul also lists the restaurant on Toegye-ro 20-gil, near Myeong-dong Station Exit 3.
The original slide gives the lot number as 16-3 in Jung-gu but leaves out part of the neighborhood name. Search for Kampungku by name and confirm the complete address with the venue before visiting.
4. Busanjib Hongdae — Seogyo-dong
Busanjib Hongdae is one of several Hongdae-area venues featured. The slide shows the restaurant and its prayer space; ask the restaurant about current availability and any conditions for using the room.
Address: 358-8 Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
5. NH Bank Building — Namdaemun Market Area
The Namdaemun Market slide identifies an NH Bank building in Namchang-dong. Its photographed prayer-room sign directs women to the fourth floor and men to the fifth floor. Confirm the entrance and current floor arrangements on arrival.
Address: 46-14 Namchang-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul.
6. Lotte World Adventure — Jamsil
For a day at Lotte World Adventure, the guide points to a Muslim prayer room on the third floor. Check with the attraction about the room’s location, operating hours, and admission or access requirements when planning your visit.
The Sinchon entry features the Sinchon Tourist Information Centre and a prayer space. Use the named visitor facility and address to locate this stop, rather than assuming the room is inside a subway station.
Address: 74-21 Sinchon-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
8. COEX — Samseong-dong, Gangnam
COEX is the Gangnam location in the guide. The accompanying image shows a dedicated prayer space with prayer mats. Since COEX is a large complex, ask its information desk for the exact room location and current access instructions.
Address: 159 Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
9. Seoul-Iya — Donggyo-dong, Hongdae
Seoul-Iya is another Hongdae-area option, this time in Donggyo-dong. The guide pairs the dining area with a door marked “Prayer Room,” so travelers can identify the venue while checking room access with staff.
Address: 153-23 Donggyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
10. Nusantaraku — Seogyo-dong, Hongdae
The final venue is Nusantaraku in Seogyo-dong. Its slide shows the restaurant exterior and prayer-room entrance, adding another location to consider when organizing a Hongdae itinerary.
Address: 347-4 Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
Plan Your Prayer Stops Before Heading Out
Save the venue names alongside your sightseeing route, and allow time to find the correct entrance or floor. Ask about room availability, washing facilities, and any items you need to bring; the original post does not provide those details for every venue.
These photographs document the spaces featured in the February 2026 guide, not a guarantee of current opening hours or unrestricted access. A quick check with the venue can help avoid an unnecessary detour.
