Korea Travel for Groups: 4 Seoul Experiences Everyone Enjoys Together

FanWork · 가이드

Korea travel for groups takes more than putting together a list of attractions.

Teachers, academy staff and fan club leaders need an activity that lots of people can join,

that keeps everyone engaged, and that people remember for a long time.

FanWork's FanTrips offer hands-on activities in Seoul, and you can ask us to arrange each

experience for your group.

Quick Summary

· Four Seoul experiences that schools, academies and clubs can enjoy together: Gayageum

& Hanbok Experience: Learn Traditional Music in Seoul; Korean Herbal Tea Class in Seoul:

Tea Blending and Museum Visit; Speak Korean & Cook Korean: Language and Cooking

Class in Gangnam; and Seoul K-Pop Night: Dance Class & Pub Crawl.

· Compare the location, group size, duration and language of each experience in the table

below.

· Send us your group size, preferred dates and the experiences you're interested in through

the inquiry link, and we'll help plan your trip to Korea.

Why Cultural Experiences Make the Best Korea Travel for Groups

Temples and palaces are wonderful, but 30 people following a flag don't create many shared

memories. Experience classes are different. When everyone wears the same hanbok, plays

the same instrument and cooks the same dish, you cooperate, laugh together and end up

with stories to share.

If you're torn between a typical Seoul tour and a more hands-on activity, start with these four

experiences.

Experience 1: Gayageum & Hanbok Experience: Learn Traditional

Music in Seoul

Put on hanbok, Korea's traditional clothing, and walk the quiet hanok alleys of Bukchon.

Then sit down at the gayageum, a Korean string instrument, and pluck your first notes

yourself.

No musical experience is needed. Hanbok rental in Seoul comes with the class, so the

hanbok becomes part of the experience rather than just a photo op.

Details: Bukchon Hanok Village / 2 to 8 people / About 80-minute gayageum lesson / Host

accompanies / Taught in English and Korean

Experience 2: Korean Herbal Tea Class in Seoul: Tea Blending and

Museum Visit

Take a break from sightseeing and discover Korean herbal tea. Your instructor introduces the

herbs, you look over the ingredients and smell them, and then each person blends and

tastes a tea of their own.

A museum visit is included, so you also get a glimpse into the history of traditional Korean

medicine. It's comfortable for a wide range of ages, and the aroma changes with the

ingredients you choose, so you can taste a tea made to your own liking.

Details: Seoul Traditional Medicine Museum / Up to 6 people / 150 minutes / Monday to

Friday / Start time 10:00 AM–6:00 PM (flexible) / Taught in English

Experience 3: Speak Korean & Cook Korean: Language and

Cooking Class in Gangnam

Start with a simple Korean lesson and practice greetings and useful phrases together. Then

move to the kitchen and cook Korean food yourselves.

Making your own food is a completely different experience from eating at a restaurant, and

the biggest advantage is that speaking and cooking go hand in hand, so you can use what

you've learned right away. You'll learn the phrases you actually use while traveling, like

greetings, ordering food and shopping at the market, and finish the day by eating what you

made together on the rooftop terrace.

It works well as the highlight of a Seoul tour, and it suits school groups that want learning and

fun in a single day.

Details: Gangnam / Minimum 2 people (3 for the full course), up to 8 / 4 hours (2-hour

Korean class + 2-hour cooking class) / Taught in English and Japanese

Experience 4: Seoul K-Pop Night: Dance Class & Pub Crawl

Learn a dance class that beginners can follow with a professional instructor and other K-pop

fans, then continue into a pub crawl, a nightlife outing hopping between several bars

together.

  • Guests must be 19 or older, and ID may be checked.

Details: Near Hongdae / Starts at 6:00 PM / 90-minute dance class + about 4 more hours / 3

to 20 people / Taught in English / Ages 19 and over

Group Travel Story: 21 Students from an Australian K-pop

Academy Try Hanbok at Gyeongbokgung

O2 K-pop is a K-pop academy and fan community in Sydney, Australia. Its members came to

Seoul as one group and turned a shared love of K-pop into a shared trip.

Dressed in hanbok, the group walked through Gyeongbokgung Palace and posed together in

front of Cheong Wa Dae, the Blue House. They also visited cultural heritage sites with local

hosts and spent time together in a traditional hanok courtyard.

A trip like this works because every stop is something the whole group does together, from

choosing hanbok to taking the final group photo.
